Rimini è la città dei sogni e dei ricordi del regista Federico Fellini. E’ a Rimini che è nato. E’ a Rimini che ha trascorso la sua infanzia e adolescenza ed è dalla stazione di Rimini che all’età di diciannove anni ha preso il treno che lo ha portato a Roma nel gennaio del 1939.
Viaggiando per le strade del centro, si può ancora percepire il mondo che Fellini ha evocato numerose volte nel corso della sua carriera. La sensazione è quella di incontrare quasi lo spirito dei luoghi e dei personaggi che sono stati i protagonisti dei suoi film, reincarnati nei nipoti e nei pronipoti, camminare nelle strade del centro città. E’ la città stessa,dall’ Ariminum romana fino ai giorni nostri, a contenere una stratificazione di storie inesauribili, archetipi cui solo visionari e sognatori sanno dare spazio strappandoli alla vita provinciale per renderli eterni e universali

Rimini  is director Federico Fellini’s city of dreams and memories. It is where he was born, where he spent his childhood and adolescence up to  the age of nineteen and  it is from Rimini’s station that he caught the train that took him to Rome in January 1939.
Traveling through the streets, you can still perceive the world that Fellini  evoked numerous times. The feeling is that of almost encountering the spirit of the places and the characters that were the protagonists of his films, reincarnated in the grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the streets of the city center. Then again, it may just be  the city itself, The Roman Ariminum, that contains a stratification of inexhaustible stories  as well as archetypes to which only visionaries and dreamers know how to give space by tearing them away from provincial life  in order to make them eternal and universal.
